New York-based fine art conceptual photographer Yutian Zhou brings a strong background in graphic design to her work, including expertise in typography and web design. Combined with her post-production skills, including high-end retouching and color management, that knowledge allows her to tightly control her photographic projects from beginning to end—especially important in one of her areas of specialty, photographing works of art. A recent recipient of her Master’s in Digital Photography degree from New York City’s prestigious School of Visual Arts, Zhou is also experienced in the construction of studio sets and the complex lighting techniques needed to photograph them elegantly. She also applies these skills to her personal work, which will be exhibited next spring at the PhotoPlace Gallery. Another series of work Red was shortlisted for the semifinals of the Adobe photography competition.
